Ken’s Foods Expansion

Ken’s Foods, a privately-owned producer of salad dressings and barbecue sauces, operates four manufacturing plants across the United States. The Lebanon facility, is equipped with rail service and a fully enclosed rail dock, bottle blow mold production and on-site water treatment. To accommodate increasing demand, Ken’s Foods sought to expand its warehousing and cooler capacities. Compass Construction was engaged to construct a 287,000 sf precast addition utilizing a design-build delivery. This strategic expansion was essential for boosting Ken’s operational efficiency in time for the peak season beginning in May. Compass navigated the relocation of water utilities and fire protection systems, all while ensuring the facility continued to operate six days a week. Despite facing necessary interruptions for construction, Compass’s effective approach ensured timely completion to meet Ken’s growing business needs.
